Releasing Blindfire into the world!
We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally put Blindfire in your hands! Our game is a one-of-a-kind FPS that merges fast-paced action with intense strategic gameplay, set entirely in the dark. Whether you’re teaming up with friends or diving into the arena with random players, every match is designed to keep your adrenaline pumping and your heart racing as you fight to be the last one standing.
In this first dev blog, we’ll take you behind the scenes to share our vision for Blindfire, what sets it apart, why we chose Early Access, and what the future holds as we continue to build, expand, and evolve the game. From new gameplay ideas to our long-term roadmap, we can’t wait to bring you along on this journey!
OUR VISION FOR BLINDFIRE
What happens when you limit one of the most crucial elements of any FPS game? How would players react when they can’t see their opponent, but know they could be just a small step away? These questions became the driving force behind Blindfire, leading us to create an experience that’s both familiar and completely unique.
As our first original IP at Double Eleven, we set out to take bold risks and craft something truly distinctive. Our goal was to create a fresh concept that pushes boundaries, while still being accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of players. Our goal is to create a fun, immersive experience that keeps you engaged and always coming back for more. We’ve designed the gameplay to strike a balance between tension, adrenaline-fueled action, and the chaos of Hollywood-style gunfights, while integrating stealth mechanics that reward strategic thinking. It’s not just about fast reflexes as every decision matters. In Blindfire, survival often hinges on that one, perfectly timed move.
The FPS landscape is packed with exceptional titles, so we knew we needed more than just a fresh gameplay twist to truly stand out. That’s where our neon-soaked, blacklight art style comes in, adding an extra layer of atmosphere. As each match progresses, you’ll witness a visual transformation, with vibrant neon highlights piercing through the darkness. In an arena dominated by shadows, these glowing elements create a deeper sense of immersion and intensity. We hope the striking visuals not only catch your eye, but also leave a memorable impression once you experience them firsthand!
Equally important, we’ve put a lot of thought into Blindfire’s game modes. After exploring countless ideas for how the game should progress and which objectives would keep players hooked, we ultimately chose to launch with Bodycount. This round-based mode awards points for kills, assists, and special feats with a focus on bold or stylish gunplay. After five rounds, the player with the most points emerges victorious. And because gaming is even more fun with friends, we’re also releasing a Team Bodycount mode, where squads of up to four players can team up for a more tactical experience. Just be careful of being caught up in friendly fire!
Looking ahead, our roadmap is packed with exciting new game modes, but for now, Bodycount is the foundation on which we’ll build. This will allow us to gather valuable feedback and keep the community united as we refine and expand the game. We can’t wait for you to dive in and experience it for yourself!
MAPPING OUR FUTURE
We’re fully committed to transparency throughout Blindfire’s Early Access journey. Our roadmap is packed with exciting updates, and while we aim to meet the dates we've set, we also know that flexibility is key. If any unexpected issues arise, or if the community strongly requests certain features, we might adjust the timing or order of these updates.
Rest assured, any changes will be made with your best interests in mind, as we’re dedicated to delivering the best possible experience. We’re excited to have you along for the ride and can’t wait to show you what’s next for Blindfire. Without further ado, here’s the upcoming updates we have planned for the foreseeable future!

BE PART OF THE JOURNEY!
As you can see from our roadmap, we have plenty of exciting content planned for Blindfire, but before we roll out all the features, we want to ensure we’re building on a solid foundation and going in the right direction. That’s why the Early Access period is so crucial to us.
During this period, we’re focused on delivering fast updates and refining the game as we go. We’ll be watching closely to see what works and where improvements are needed, making tweaks to keep enhancing your experience. This is where you come in. Your feedback will be essential in helping us shape the future of Blindfire. We’ve set up dedicated channels on our Discord server where you can directly share your insights with the team. We want you to be part of the journey, helping us to refine the game as we evolve it into something truly special.
While we don’t have a set date for when the Early Access period will wrap up, we’ll keep you posted when the time is right. For now, our priority is making a game that’s not only fun and innovative but truly stands out in the FPS genre. It’s a tough challenge, but with your support and feedback, we’re confident we can make it happen!
ENDING THE TRANSMISSION
Before we wrap up this dev blog, we want to set the right expectations for everyone. Since Blindfire is in Early Access, you might encounter some bugs, performance hiccups, or server issues along the way. We’re actively developing and making rapid changes, so while things may occasionally break, our team is fully committed to addressing any issues as quickly as possible.
We also understand that some of you may not love the idea of creating a separate Epic Games account to play the game. However, this is crucial for enabling cross-platform play, ensuring faster queue times, and making sure you can jump into matches with minimal delay. Using Epic Games also helps us focus on delivering new content without worrying about platform compatibility. We appreciate your understanding and support in this area.
We’re thrilled to have you with us on this journey and are working hard to create something special for all of you. That’s it for now! I can’t wait to meet you on the battlefield. See you in the arena!
Light them up!!!
